Eagles soaring overhead, geoducks burrowing in the sand, a shiny seal head poking out of the waves—wildlife sightings like these are not that uncommon here. But imagine walking along the beach at Fay Bainbridge and seeing a dinosaur in the distance? We know the island is magical, but time travel? Once Kelly Hawpe and her young son Sebastian drifted closer, they knew they had to get a shot of this “prehistoric creature.” Kelley told us, “Fay Bainbridge Park has become one of our family favorites here on the island. This was the first beach my husband and I stopped at when visiting Bainbridge over a year ago. Now we actually live on the island—a dream we never thought would come true.” Sounds like Kelley has found some of that island magic.
